WHO IS AMIT PALEKAR?

Amit Palekar is a social worker and an advocate by profession. He is the Chief Ministerial (CM) face of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the Goa assembly elections 2022. 

 

He will contest the polls from the Santa Cruz constituency. The lawyer-turned politician belongs to the Bhandari community, one of the largest non-Brahmin caste groupings in Goa.

According to reports, Palekar worked rigorously during the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic and donated 140 beds to a hospital.
